Today is the day many of you guys were waiting for. Veeam Availability Suite 9.5 is released. I was at a customer today so we decided to directly upgrade his envoronment. The Upgrade was as easy as we know it from Veeam and it just works. I decided to make a step step guide to empower all of you to make this upgrade by yourself.

1. Check Reqirements

Please confirm that you meet any requirements before you start. The upgrade is supported from v8 U3 and all version of Veeam B&R v9. For further details you can have a look at the updated release notes. You will find the release notes next to download links at Veeam Download portal. There is no other license file needed because it is only a minor release.

If you are using Veeam One please upgrade it first.

2. Before you start

Download the ISO file from Veeam Download Center and verify the MD5 Checksum from your downloaded file. Compare it with the one you get displayed at download portal. Disable all jobs from your backup server using Veeam remote console. You can mark all jobs using ctrl+a and click Disable ribbon. Ensure that no other user is logged on to Veeam components.
